Bio/About
Dr Sarah McLean is an experienced consultant in Palliative Medicine who has expertise in the management of physical symptoms and psycho-social issues in the context of life-limiting illness. She graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 2005, achieved MRCPI in 2007, completed the highly regarded MSc in Palliative Care in King’s College London in 2014, and spent a year in New York performing clinical research in the use of methadone for complex cancer pain before taking up her consultant post in Dublin. Dr McLean has published widely in the academic literature, and has expertise in quality improvement and service development, with a specific interest in outcomes measurement in palliative care and expanding access to palliative care to patients with non-malignant conditions.
