Bio/About
Dr Alraqi won a scholarship in 1987 to study medicine in University College Dublin from which he qualified in 1993.
He worked in various disciplines of Medicine in Ireland including General Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Palliative Medicine, Medicine for the Elderly and Paediatrics before specialising in the field of Rheumatology.
He completed his training in Rheumatology in Ireland through the Specialist Registrar Scheme with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has special interest in clinical education and has organised a number of successful MRCP exam training courses.
He worked as a consultant Rheumatologist, since 2007, in all the major Dublin hospitals including the Mater Hospital, Beaumont Hospital and Saint Vincent's University Hospital.
In addition, he holds a number of postgraduate diplomas in Medicine, Medicine of the Elderly, Child Health, Healthcare management and a Master degree in Medical Science.
He has been involved in Audits and research especially in MSK ultrasound and Rheumatology for many years.
He is a Member of the Irish Society for Rheumatology.
