Bio/About
Dr Tim O’ Connor graduated from UCD Medical School in 2015 and was awarded his MRCPI by the Royal college of Physicians of Ireland in 2015. After completing his Higher Specialist Training in Cardiology, Dr O’ Connor undertook a Complex Coronary Interventional Fellowship at Beaumont Hospital in 2023. He subsequently completed a further Complex Coronary Interventional Fellowship at the Bristol Heart Institute, NHS University Hospital Bristol and Weston (2024). He was appointed a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Beaumont Hospital in 2024. In January 2026, Dr O’ Connor joined St Vincents Private Hospital in Dublin.
Special Interests
Dr O’ Connor specialist area of interest focuses on all aspects of interventional cardiology with particular focus on complex PCI, coronary imaging, coronary physiology, chronic total occlusions, microvascular angina and Renal Denervaiton. Dr O’ Connor has specialist expertise in the assessment and management of microvascular angina including catheter based investigation of coronary microvascular dysfunction and coronary vasospasm. He has particular interest in the management of hypertension and has particular expertise in advanced hypertension treatments including catheter based therapies (Renal Denervation).
