Ms. Roisin Dolan

Education & Experience


Ms. Dolan was appointed as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at St Vincent’s University Hospital in 2019. She is both an undergraduate and postgraduate of University College Dublin having completed a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in use of tissue-microarray technology in cancer biology. 

  • Following completion of the RCSI Higher Surgical Training Programme in Plastic & Fellowship in Ireland she completed a fellowship in upper limb and microsurgery at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • Appointed as a Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and University of Oxford Senior Clinical Researcher studying vascularised composite allotransplantation. Ms Dolan was the 2019 winner of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons International Visiting Scholarship.


Clinical Research and Professionnal Memberships

Ms Dolan is the first Irish member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand Research Committee by competitive appointment. She has authored over 30 publications in peer reviewed journals and 10 book chapters relating to reconstructive surgery. She is the Irish Consultant Lead for the Reconstructive Surgery Trials Network (RSTN).
