Mr Galvin completed clinical training in Urological Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York following a two and a half year fellowship. Consultant experience gained in the Essex Urological Oncology centre before being appointed to both the Mater Misericordiae and St. Vincent's University hospitals as part of the Dublin Academic Medical Centre (DAMC) in April 2011 and funded through the National Cancer Control Program (NCCP).
He completed his Higher Surgical Training in Urology and was awarded the Urology Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in June 2008.
Clinical Research & Professional Memberships
He is currently Chair of the National Prostate cancer Leads Network and Principal Investigator to the IPCOR project funded by Movember, developing a National Prostate cancer Registry.
