Ms. Claire Rutherford

Education & Training

Ms. Rutherford undertook her undergraduate education at the University of Glasgow (MBChB), which she completed in 2011.

She completed her General Surgical training with a specialist interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in the West of Scotland.  Ms. Rutherford has completed two fellowships:

• Oncoplastic Fellowship at KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Singapore General Hospital, Singapore
• National Oncoplastic TIG Fellowship at St. Barts, St. Barts NHS Trust, London, UK.

Ms. Rutherford was awarded both the ASGBI Gold Medal and G B Ong Medal for the most outstanding candidate in the FRCS examination in 2021.  She was also awarded a merit for her performance in the European Board of Surgery Breast Examination (FEBS).
