About our service

St. Vincent’s Private Hospital provides a comprehensive pain management service with expert evaluation, pharmacological therapy and a range of interventional therapies offered. The Pain Management Department is staffed by 5 consultants, each with unique experience and expertise in managing a wide range of pain conditions.

The service is also internationally recognised as a leading neuromodulation centre thanks to our two expert implanters, Dr. Murphy and Dr. O’Keeffe, who deliver a state of the art service. In addition to performing the largest number of implant surgeries per annum in Ireland, we are the only centre to offer a fully comprehensive range of stimulation options tailored specifically to the patient’s individual requirements

Diagnostic and therapeutic services are also offered to treat chronic pain conditions ranging from spinal pain (back and neck) and post-surgical pain syndromes (including Failed Spinal Surgery Syndrome) to the management of cancer-related pain.

Our multidisciplinary team of pain management consultants, specialist surgeons, nurses, osteopaths, rheumatologists and therapists work together to deliver the best treatment for our patients.
