About our service

Due to the high volume of patients, we kindly ask patients to adhere to the allocated appointment time to avoid congestion in waiting areas. Patients are asked to arrive on time for all appointments and where possible, attend the appointment alone. If you arrive to the hospital early, we would ask you to wait in your car or outside the building to avoid internal congestion. If you happen to be delayed, please phone the relevant department to let them know.

About Blood Testing

We offer a walk in blood testing service Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 (last bloods at 15:45).

Waiting times are speedy for your convenience. Patients must bring a referral form with them for access to this service.

Insurance cover and charges:

  • Blood tests are priced individually.
  • Blood tests are not covered directly by insurance providers, patients are required to pay upfront and claim back.

We offer the highest number of consultants and the widest range of specialist care in Ireland’s only integrated multi-hospital campus.

Situated on the same grounds as St Vincent’s University Hospital, we share resources, expertise and medical facilities with one of the country’s leading academic teaching hospital. This means that we have the capacity to deal with a high volume of patients with a variety of different and often complex medical and surgical requirements.

About the obesity and bariatric surgery centre of care service

At St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, we offer a consultant led weight management service. Together a team that includes bariatric surgeons and physicians, dietitian, psychologist, and physician associate assess each patient individually for weight loss surgery or a non-surgical medical weight loss treatment plan.

Access to this service

A GP referral is not required for this service. Patients are required to watch our sixty minute online seminar as the first stage of weight loss treatment. In this video, our multidisciplinary weight management team explain why people gain weight and how this can be addressed in the long term using diet, medication and surgical options.

St. Vincent’s Hospital Breast Unit is one of the longest established breast clinics in the country and one of the eight NCCP designated centres for the management of symptomatic breast disease, specialising in the management of breast cancer and benign breast disease.

We offer comprehensive and outstanding care for all breast conditions The Maple Centre; a highly personal and specialised outpatient service for symptomatic patients. The clinic offers rapid access to the latest diagnostic imaging, investigations and pathways into treatment, delivered by a team of consultants, clinical nurse specialists and support staff.  We provide diagnosis, imaging and treatment to anyone experiencing breast symptoms or breast-related problems.  We also provide assessment and screening service for women with a family history of breast cancer.

The Dressing Clinic at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital provides a specialist, high quality, evidence-based wound management and tissue viability service for patients post procedures carried out in the hospital and for patients currently on chemotherapy on the 4th floor in the Rowen Ward.

The Pulmonary function service offers a range of respiratory tests for inpatients and outpatients from many disciplines. Most routine tests may take approx 30-60 minutes and include some of the following tests: Spirometry, Diffusing Capacity, Lung Volumes, Bronchial Provocation, Maximum Inspiratory and Expiratory Pressures.

These tests are covered by all Insurers, patient will only pay the policy excess (dependent on plan)
